EXPERIENCE:

Leon grew up playing volleyball every chance he could. He played club volleyball for 2 years in college and transferred that love of playing to a love of coaching. He has coach all levels from 6th grade all the way up to Division 1 volleyball. He coached in college for 4 years before moving to Houston and returning to club coaching.

When Leon moved to Houston he started working with one of the largest clubs in the city of Houston, taking over their 12U program.  In 2 years he grew the program into the 5th best team in the country attracting college coaches to see 6th grade players competing at such a high level.

Leon took his love of coaching and began writing about transitioning from Division 1 volleyball to young players.  His article “The Great Divide” was published in a National coaching publication.  He went on to write 4 additional articles that have helped coaching across the country in their training methods.
